Do You Know Intimacy As Revealed By Toke Makinwa Is Not Just About Sexual Intercourse?

This is a response to a post on Laila's blog "I miss this Intimacy - Toke Makinwa"

Even Laila herself took the context of that statement to be that Toke missed sexual intercourse since she is single after her divorce last year.

Good to see that Toke was truthful about the whole situation as regards the revelation. But one thing I want to clear is this, the picture as shown by her depicts not just sexual scene.

Yes, her body isn't firewood, she needs a man to keep her warm and the likes, bla bla bla.

We have forgotten the fact that intimacy is not just all about love making, it is also about listening to each other especially, when confessing to each other how the feeling is.

We all are free to say what we have to say as she has taken her decision as regards her divorce, either it is her fault or not is no one's business as she is the one in the shoes and knows where it pinches.

Definitely, someone who was once with a man will definitely miss the presence of a man after divorce as the experience can never be taken away.

This is not even particular to a particular gender as it is human nature.

Decision making is also one of the intimacy she is referring to here, or have you forgotten that great decisions among couples are made when the two are together privately?

Once in a while we should put other people's feelings into consideration before castigating them, the decision they have taken is even small compared to the ones we take every day, but because some are celebrity we then think they don't have their life to live too which is completely wrong.

We have also forgotten that couple often engage in some child's play while alone.

We have quickly forgotten that dirty talks by couples when they are alone in their room.

All these and the rest makes up the intimacy which we suddenly fail to realise just because of the personality involved.

Don't get Toke Makinwa wrong, the intimacy she is referring to as shown even in the picture isn't just the love making.
