In a relationship don't try to be perfect try to be honest

Relationship is not for two perfect beings, in fact, no relationship will last if any of the parties involved is claiming to be perfect.

In a relationship, no matter how hard you try, you can never attain perfection for your spouse, there will be a flaw and neither can your spouse be perfect, just that only the two of you knows and tolerate the flaw of each other which is unknown to those outside.

You are only perfect if you want to marry yourself.

No matter how hard you make yourself look perfect either your emotion or mood or thought or action etc will fail you and render you completely imperfect, you can only be honest to your partner.

Honesty is one thing that is common and attainable even when it is been tampered with.

It is still this same honesty you can expect and get from your spouse as that is one of the attributes needed to hold a relationship and not perfection. 

The moment you try to be perfect is when your errors become obvious and gradually you destroy what you have laboured to build as you will expect the same from your spouse which you will never get.

Remember, for you to enjoy a long lasting relationship you need to shun perfection. 

Understanding, tolerance and honesty will go farther than acting or seeking perfection.
