Who says pretence is not worth it?

So many times when i try to make myself understand that pretending isn't good i realise that if you don't pretend at times you will not be recognized and accorded the respect you deserve.

If you are the type that people hold with high esteem simply because they think you have something unique which you know within yourself that you don't have, it is better you keep on pretending because you will be buried the day they know your worth.

People only respect you and take you to be important when they know you have something they don't have or when they need something from you.

The way you appear to people is the way you will be appreciated or depreciated. The day you appear to them worthless of what they think you are worth is the day you start depreciating.

Right from that same minute of that same day the respect they have for you will start going down drastically.
So many times unnumbered people have proven not to be trusted with truth. Your truth has no impact to them rather than to draw you down with it.

We know what playing along has done to so many people, but it is still the best if you want people to know you also exist and if you want to get to the top.

But should it be so?

Pretending, claiming you are/own something when it is obvious you are not or you don't have isn't the best way to live life.

Most of the times it is good to be truthful so as not to miss out from the good things that should have been yours.

But the fact is that it is only few people who will understand your situation without mocking or looking down on you, and they will also be part of your rising.

But to recognize this few is not always easy as the world is filled with mockers and backbiters.

They are only happy when they are the only one at the helms of affairs. They will always want you to come to them for financial assistance when they will still look for one excuse or the other when you eventually ask.

They grow goosebumps when they hear about your success and will be looking for your downfall.

They will never support you emotionally or physically to get to the top when they know that if they do you will rise more than them.

Road to the top is not always easy, but it is recommended that you keep your gradual success away from people till you reach the untouchable height of success.

Even when you reach the top they will be looking for means to bring you down let alone when you are still struggling.

See, no one is ready to help you to get to the top especially when they themselves are not at the top. But i am not surprised at that since you cannot give out what you don't have.
It is better you keep your growing up away from some people as they will discourage you from attaining the success you have envisaged.

It is not everyone that must know where you are going to.

Now i hope you are getting the kind of pretence i am talking about?

Don't say you have a million naira or dollars when it is obvious to you yourself that you don't have a thousand naira or a dollar on less you want to run without end.

Way to success is very narrow of which only you can endure the pain it entails so far you are the only one that all the glory will be accorded to. No one will want to share it with you as they are also aiming to get to the top but the way at which they wish to attain their own success is/might be completely different from yours.

If you are from a less privilege home(financially) don't try to compete with those that are privileged. At the long run your success as someone with no capital might still shout more than those with enough capital.

Determination, concentration and hardwork will make a man successful, but once you start shouting when your success is just growing then you are determining how far you want your success to grow.

When you are successful it is not you that will tell them, the success will tell them itself. You will be surprised that they never make any attempt to make impact to your success but once you are successful they will claim that they are the ones that started the idea that has brought you huge success.

When you are into buying and selling, it is better you take it far from the so called "your own people" because instead of them buying what you are selling they will rather pretend to like your stuff meanwhile they tarnish the image of your business behind you.

Take your business to those who don't know you and make your name, few are those that want you to succeed. Once you make your name outside believe me you will be respected at home (among "your own people"), in fact, they will now help you to broadcast your business as they will want people to know that you are associated with them one way or the other.

Your family is also a good way through which you can succeed but it is only when you work for each other this can be possible, if it is the other way round you better keep pretending till all is well.

Well, those with good family members like mine don't know what people outside are facing just to be successful.

An adage says "a hen is worthless in its own house".

Please don't get me wrong, blessed is the man that applies wisdom in everything he does...
