Inside OOU: Bus drivers seek increase in transport fare

The drivers of the buses that conveys student into the school has refused to engage in their daily work as they want the transportation fare to be increased. They want the transportation fare to be increased to #40 from the normal #30 the students are used to. Reason for this change is still vague to all the students.

Drivers are saying they have been collecting #30 for long and ever since they have been collecting that amount things has increased in the market, cost of living is so high and that #30 naira is too small to cater for it. They also said there is petrol scarcity.

There is speculation also that there is protest inside the school premises as students move to accept the wish of the drivers.

The SUG President Malcomsy is  still quiet about this issue when all the students of the institution are looking up to him for guidance as the number one student of the institution.

Bus drivers are reportedly holding a meeting as at 10:40 a.m to install normalcy.
